How to Join the Professional Program in Finance

Acceptance into the Professional Program in Finance at UT Dallas is based on quantitative metrics (such as GPA, academic coursework and job experience) and qualitative considerations (such as communication skills, attitude and drive).

Admission is competitive and limited to top applicants.

When is the PPF application deadline?

There is one application window each academic year.

Online applications open Aug. 15 and close Sept. 1.

What are the PPF application requirements?

Applicants must be finance majors (double majors are fine) and must have, at a minimum:

  • At least 6 graded credit hours at University of Texas at Dallas or another accredited four-year academic institution
  • A minimum GPA of 3.5 or higher

Satisfaction of minimum requirements does not guarantee admission into the program.

What is the PPF Interview Process?

Student applicants selected for consideration will interview with the PPF Director in early September of each academic year.

Membership selection will be completed and announced by late September.
