
One Master’s in Finance. Two ways to get it.
The Master of Science in Finance (MS FIN) is a 36 semester credit hour, STEM-designated degree program (12-24 months) at the Naveen Jindal School of Management that provides students with the practical and theoretical knowledge needed by finance professionals. Students learn the quantitative skills required to analyze financial information, make financial decisions and valuations, select and analyze portfolios and manage risk. MS Finance students also gain proficiency in spreadsheets, databases and other technological skills needed to evaluate financial data.
The School offers two options for students: Master’s in Finance and Master’s in Finance Cohort. Both programs offer the same high quality degree with mentoring and access to numerous student resources.

The Real Estate program is a partner with the CCIM Institute (Certified Commercial Investment Member). This allows students a fast track route toward receiving the recognized CCIM designation.

Build leadership skills in clubs and organizations, including the Financial Leadership Association, Graduate Finance Management Council, the Real Estate Club, and the Energy Association – UT Dallas.
The Career Management Center offers workshops to develop resume and interviewing skills, as well as internship and job placement assistance.
Develop your skills through contests and competitions, including the CFA® Institute Research Challenge and the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG) competition, as well as competitions through the Finance Trading Lab
Learn from world-renowned faculty who have published in all of the top finance journals (including The Journal of Finance, The Journal of Financial Economics, The Review of Financial Studies and others) and won numerous best paper prizes.
The Finance Trading Lab allows you to develop financial trading skills and access electronic business databases, including Thomson Reuters Eikon, Bloomberg, S&P Capital IQ, SDC Platinum, Morningstar Direct and Wharton Research Data Services. Compete in trading competitions held during the year for prizes and money.
Experience investing money in the market through the student-run investment fund.
The Business Communication Center can help you improve your written and spoken communication skills.
