Professional Program in Finance – Admissions

There is one application window each academic year:

Applications will open Aug. 2026.

Requirements:

• MUST be finance majors (double-majors are fine)
• CANNOT graduate BEFORE May 2027
• Need to be able to be physically on campus for at least 3 semesters

Preferred qualifications:

• Minimum GPA of 3.75
• Successfully completed
• Bloomberg, FactSet, Alteryx etc. certifications
• Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) certification
• Pursuing professional exams (e.g. CFA Level 1, SOA, FRM etc.)
• Secured a Summer 2026 internship
• Able to code in Python, R, VBA using Gen AI

SELECT applicants will be chosen for in-person interviews, which will determine final acceptance.

Student applicants selected for consideration will interview with the PPF Director soon after application closing date.

Membership selection will be completed and announced by late September.

All selected members will be required to sign a code of conduct.

To remain in good standing and graduate with the Professional Program in Finance designation, PPF members must in general:

• Maintain a semester GPA of 3.75.
• Have 1 internship every academic year (starting Summer 2026).
• Participate in at least one competition each year.
• Obtain certifications identified at the commencement of each semester.
• Compulsory attendance of all professional/networking events held during 1st year of program (Fall 2025 – Spring 2026)
• Fin 4340 (Options & Futures Market), Fin 4380 (Fund Management over 2 semesters), Fin 4390 (Seminar Series over 2 semesters)
