Real Estate Club at UTD Weitzman Institute for Real Estate
Both undergraduate and graduate students interested in careers in real estate are encouraged to participate in the Weitzman Institute Real Estate Club at UTD. The Real Estate Club provides opportunities for students to:

Club Competition Winners
We’re incredibly proud of our team Andrew Nguyen, Franklin Avera, Jaqleen Phan, Kiana R. and Tommy Cherucheril for bringing home the gold! This marks The University of Texas at Dallas’s third win in four years and the second consecutive year as winners.
The competition, held by the IREM Dallas Chapter at Granite Park, challenged teams to create a comprehensive management plan for 1170 109th Street in Grand Prairie, Texas. Thanks to Jackie Dalsimer and her team: Robert Timmons, CFA (Arden Logistics Parks), Ryan Norberg and Ralph Adams for sharing this unique property for our case study.
Special thanks to our incredible coaches, Stephanie Howard, CPM, CFM, RPA, FMA, GGP (Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas) and Kendra Magers CPM®, (Western Rim Property Services, Inc.), for guiding the students through this journey, and to our UTD advisors Julie Lynch and Kelly Holden, who were there to support the team every step of the way.

UT Dallas students beat out both SMU and UNT, winning the 2023 Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) Dallas Chapter Case Competition. Judges said UT Dallas had a cohesive management plan that connected their research, analysis and ideas end-to-end to their final recommendations. The UT Dallas participants were awarded a $5,000 prize.
