
The UT Dallas Graduate Certificate in FinTech
The Graduate Certificate in FinTech (Financial Technology) focuses on key technologies used in the evolving financial markets: database, web 3.0, robotics, blockchains, smart contracts, etc. Students learn how to apply these technologies through projects to provide various financial services.

- FTEC 6312 Financial Applications of Blockchain Technology
- FTEC 6313 Cloud Computing and Data Engineering
- FTEC 6314 Financial Applications of Web Technologies
- FTEC 6V97 Special Topics in Financial Technology
- FTEC 6V99 Special Topics in Financial Technology and Analytics
Certificate Requirements and Expectations
- Students must complete four of the above courses approved by the Program Director.
- Students must complete the required courses with a 3.0 or greater grade point average.
- Courses are offered in the evening or on weekends to accommodate working professionals.
- Courses are typically offered in hybrid mode.
Process – Application and Graduation
Students interested in the Graduate Certificate in FinTech can enroll in the certificate program as a part-time student. They will need to demonstrate some prior knowledge of programming and information technology. Students can develop this background knowledge through approved coursework.
While students can apply anytime during the year, their course work only begins each Fall term.
